Art my Ass is a series of pencil drawings on post-its that portray several women exposing their bottoms in a playful and sometimes defiant attitude. Rossina Bossio started the series in 2007, still a college student, as a gesture of rejection towards the academic discourse of arts and the arrogance of certain overly intellectual artistic approaches. Since then, she has kept accumulating these small sheets of paper, which have come to signify
a sort of manifesto in favor of creative (and sexual) freedom.
From afar, the white post-its filling up an entire room and hanging from the walls look delicate, ethereal, even innocent. But when the viewers approach, they’ll find hundreds of women rubbing their naked behinds in their face. Art my Ass is both a subtle and aggressive series that manages to seduce and surprise the viewer.
