The video “Ruins” has been selected for the third annual Bestias Danzantes Dance Film Festival. 69 dance films from 27 countries, will be seen on the big screen at Espacio Diana, a heritage building in the heart of Santiago de Chile that will host the festival the next 4, 5 and 6 November.
Bestias Danzantes is a Dance Film Festival seeking to open spaces for diverse and delightful dance films, in short format (1-15 minutes), arising from the crossing and combination of these two disciplines. Short films from different places of the world have come to Chile, through a global open call, inviting us to be part of diverse views and narratives.
The selected video makes part of “Strange Correspondence”: Rossina’s latest multidisciplinary project that aims to unveil the beauty of chaos. Through painting, music and dance, the project searches for a connection between static and moving images while exploring our relationship with the inherent uncertainty and instability of our lives. Directed by Rossina Bossio and brought to life with the help of prominent dancers, musicians and filmmakers between 2014 and 2016, the complete series of artworks will be presented in a grand multimedia exhibition in 2017.
