On the occasion of the re-opening of its headquarters in the city’s historic center and the celebration of its 70th anniversary, the Alliance Française in Bogotá commissioned art curator Eduardo Serrano to organize an exhibition that brings together works by some of the Colombian artists who have had a relationship with France.
Thanks to the generosity of museums and private collectors, this exhibition reunites the work of artists such as Andrés de Santa María, Rómulo Rozo, Feliza Bursztyn, Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar, Fernando Botero, Luciano Jaramillo, Darío Morales, Luis Caballero, Lorenzo Jaramillo, Luis Fernando Zapata, Pedro Ruiz, Chanoir, Diego Brugger, Rossina Bossio and a select group of artists who are a clear reference to the French and European influence in the Colombian and Latin American art.
